At Equallex Advocacy Foundation, we believe justice should never depend on wealth, influence, or privilege. Founded to address the urgent crisis of undertrial prisoners, survivor intimidation, and neglected public interest issues, we provide critical legal aid and advocacy for those who cannot fight alone.
Our dedicated team of lawyers, researchers, and volunteers works across India through:
Bail Clinics – freeing undertrial prisoners trapped by poverty.
Defense Desks – offering free representation and appeals.
Survivor Support Programs – protecting and empowering survivors of violent crimes.
Public Interest Litigation (PILs) – addressing systemic injustices.

Dr. Indronil Mukhopadhyay is a distinguished professional with over 26 years of multifaceted leadership across finance, taxation, operations, and corporate strategy.
He holds a rare combination of qualifications — PhD (Finance), Chartered Accountant, Cost & Management Accountant, and MBA (Finance). His career reflects a deep commitment to organisational transformation, ethical governance, and sustainable growth.
Dr. Mukhopadhyay has spearheaded initiatives spanning healthcare, logistics, infrastructure, and financial services with vision and precision.
He is an advisor and mentor to entrepreneurs, corporates, and institutions in shaping long-term strategies and capital structures.
His research-driven approach combines academic rigor with pragmatic execution for impactful results.
A strong advocate of equitable economic reforms, he voices progressive ideas for policy and industry.

He is also empathetic to the cause of those people who cannot afford the costs of litigation and cannot hire good counsel.

Chandra Shekhar Azad is a seasoned professional with over 23 years of experience, including two decades of service in the Armed Forces and leadership roles in the corporate sector.
His expertise spans human resource management, administration, training, grievance redressal, payroll, and compliance, along with strong experience in security and facility management.
He gained extensive exposure to team leadership, HR policies, resource management, and high-level decision-making.
He holds an MBA in Marketing & HRM, along with specialized certifications in security management, IT systems, and defense technologies.
Known for his discipline, integrity, and adaptability, he combines military precision with modern HR strategies to enhance productivity and employee engagement.
He is passionate about building efficient teams, streamlining processes, and contributing to organizational growth.
Apart from this his hobby is travelling and discovering new people and places.
Based in Ranchi, Jharkhand, he continues to focus on aligning people, processes, and performance with organizational success.
Probir Paul has been serving the finance sector for over a decade, working with leading institutions such as AXIS, ICICI, and HDFC Bank. With a wealth of experience in banking and financial services, he now operates as an independent financial consultant and founder of Deepsikha Finance, where he helps individuals and businesses access a wide range of loan solutions tailored to their needs. Beyond his professional pursuits, Probir is actively associated with the Equallex Advocacy Foundation, an NGO committed to driving meaningful social impact.
